Mary Jo Amani writes poetry and children's books. She is founder of Librospara Ninos/Books for Kids Africa, a non-profit organization that promotes the joy of reading in Nicaragua and Mozambique. She divides her time between North Carolina and Mozambique.

Lehla Eldridge wrote and illustrated The South African Illustrated Cookbook and The Lovely Book for Wonderful Women. She lives in England.
