Go on a pirate adventure in this bilingual book for Young children as part of the Storytelling Math series. A young boy with brown hair and blue glasses named Beto enjoys playing with his sister. His sister, Cora, with long brown hair, loves to pretend to be a pirate. Beto has an idea for how to get his sister to play with him. Beto gathers a basket of colorful berries as treasure and he creates a treasure map for Cora. Cora plays along but the first few maps need editing. Beto makes the map more accurate and clear for Cora, When Cora does find Beto in the kitchen he has already eaten all the treasure! The two gather a crew of stuffed animals to find more treasure together! Written in both English and Spanish this book highlights math concepts such as spatial awareness and perspective as well as social studies and interpersonal concepts. A great read for an elementary school classroom.
