How do I get started?

Apply here! We’ll ask you some questions about yourself and your platforms. Due to the volume of applicants, we will only reach out to reviewers who have been accepted.

Am I a good fit for this program?

Charlesbridge publishes high-quality books for children, with a goal of creating lifelong readers and lifelong learners. To this end, we continually strive to seek new voices, new visions, and new directions in children's literature. We publish board books, picture books, chapter books, and middle grade fiction and nonfiction under our main imprint and young adult fiction and nonfiction under our Charlesbridge Teen imprint. We also publish engaging fiction for middle grade readers through our Charlesbridge Moves imprint. We are looking for reviewers with very engaged audiences representing the full range of our readers. Due to the cost of shipping, we are selective about working with influencers outside the US. We will base our decisions on your site engagement.

I've been accepted! Now what?

Your email will be added to an exclusive newsletter for influencers, which you will receive once every 2 months. This newsletter will include digital galleys of new and upcoming releases with an option to request physical copies*. We hope by giving you these options, you can freely pick and choose to review titles that resonate most with your audiences. In order to track that you are an active influencer, we ask that you pick at least one title to review per newsletter and that you tag us so we can confirm and also share. We understand not every list we send may spark your interest, and in that case, we ask that you respond to the email with a pass on that particular list.

*Physical Copies:

At this time, we have limited physical copies available, so these will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis with additional restrictions on those living outside of the United States. In addition, to give everyone a chance at physical copies, we ask that you limit your physical copy request to 3 books per list. Thank you!

Is this a paid program?

This is not a paid program.

When should I post?

We leave specific post timing to your discretion. You can check the release dates for each title on our website. We’d like to see your posts for each season before the next season starts. Our Fall season runs from September to December, our Spring season from January to April, and our Summer season from May to August.
