Scott Goto was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, Manoa, with a Bachelor of Education Degree in Secondary Art Education, he attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in illustration, with honors. Scott currently works as a freelance illustrator, fine artist and graphic designer. He is also employed full time at the Mayor’s Office of Culture and the Arts (MOCA) for the City and County of Honolulu. His responsibilities include managing public exhibits and the Mission Memorial Auditorium, special events coordination and graphic design.
Scott's children's books include The Great Pancake Escape (Walker) and Will Rogers, Larger than Life (Walker). He lives in Honolulu, Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.
